Plain terms for using this website. Engagement contracts for services are separate, bespoke and take precedence over anything here.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

This website (ionity.co.za) is published by Ionity Global (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa, Centurion, Gauteng. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Using the site

You may browse, read, download the public materials for your own reference, and contact us. You may not: attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it; scrape or harvest content at scale for redistribution; interfere with availability; or use any feature of the site (including the Edge Lab or RuView connector) against systems you do not own or are not authorised to test.

3. AEDi assistant

AEDi is an AI assistant that answers questions about Ionity. Its replies are generated automatically, may be incomplete or wrong, and are not advice, a quotation or a contractual commitment. Anything you type is sent to a third-party language-model API to produce the answer (see the Cookie Policy). Do not submit confidential or personal information through it — email us instead.

4. Edge Lab and on-device demos

The edge micro-audit, matrix vision, sensor node and Edge Forge tools run entirely in your browser for demonstration. Measurements are best-effort and depend on your device and browser; they are illustrative and are not an audit report, a certification or a security assessment. Camera and sensor access is only requested when you tap to enable it and ends when you stop it or leave the page.

5. Intellectual property

The Ionity name, wordmark, AEDi, RuView, Ionify and the site's design, code and content are ours unless stated otherwise, governed by Policy 986 AED and the AED 900 licence where indicated. Open-source components remain under their own licences — see our GitHub. Material marked CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 may be shared under that licence with attribution.

6. Third-party links

Links to LinkedIn, GitHub, YouTube and other sites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

7. No warranty and limitation of liability

The site and its content are provided "as is" for general information. We make no warranty that it is error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ionity Global (Pty) Ltd is not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under South African law, including under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

8. Privacy and cookies

How we handle personal information is set out in the Privacy Notice; what the site stores in your browser is set out in the Cookie Policy. Both form part of these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top is the date of the last change; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
